The new Farmers Market Shelter in Dickson County, TN is an exciting addition to the community, and our team was proud to play a role in bringing it to life. Our scope of work focused on the structure itself and the foundation—creating the framework for a space that will serve local farmers, vendors, and residents for years to come. One of the unique challenges of the project was drilling through remnants of the old hospital structure buried beneath the site decades ago. To ensure stability, we carefully drilled 2×2 holes into the existing material, allowing us to set a strong foundation for the shelter.
The finished structure features sturdy 8×8 Cypress posts, chosen for their strength and natural beauty. Each post was stained and sealed to enhance durability while highlighting the warm, rich tones of the wood. Custom accent brackets were designed and installed to provide additional support while adding a distinctive visual detail. The result is a shelter that blends function and craftsmanship—a durable, attractive space that reflects the character of the community. While we didn’t handle paving or landscaping, our team’s contribution ensured the market has a solid, long-lasting foundation and a beautiful structure to serve as its centerpiece.
